Meet the Modules

Module I: BODY - Sensing & Being from and embodied perspective

“Body” focuses on discovering the dimensionality of embodiment from the Embodied Flow™ perspective, opening the door to the body’s innate wisdom. Using the lens of asana and free movement, “Body” will concentrate on foundational material for embodied movement and utilize experiential anatomy, kinesiology, and physiology as a technology for the landscape of yoga.

Human beings can be defined as clusters of consciousness, organized into various densities, frequencies, functions, and sensations. Anatomist Gill Hedley coined the term "somanaut" to describe those who explore the interior framework of their being. The Body module will provide a framework that will allow you to dive ever deeper into the exploration of Self.

The Body Module consists of the following components:

  • This foundational immersion is the entry point to the advanced practice of the methodology and Principles of Embodied Flow™. Discovering the inner landscape of the body-mind through somatic journeys into systems of the body: Bones, muscles, organs, endocrine, and cellular consciousness.

    • Explore the five foundational Principles of Embodied Flow™

    • Introduction of experiential philosophy (the practice of weaving non-dual tantric philosophy into an embodied journey)

    • Somatization - Discover various systems of the body from a Body-Mind Centering® perspective

    • Learn functional biomechanics that allow your students to align from the inside out, and the outside in

    • Explore moving from different points of initiation that allow greater ease and effortlessness in asana and movement

    • Examine ways of working with students in their wholeness so as to support their process in an inclusive and empowered way

    • Introduction to the Embodied Flow™ method of sequencing classes

    • Pranayama and meditation practices

    • Expressing unconscious and conscious aspects of self through movement meditations

    • Foundational components of manual therapy and bodywork

    • Tantric philosophy and its relationship to Embodied Flow™

  • The second immersion in the Body module continues the methodology of Embodied Flow™ and pulls into the foreground the pulsatory world of our fluid body. Fluid systems offer balance, transport communication as well as emotional and nervous system regulation. As we submerge into the mind of the fluids, we will follow spiralic pathways, rivering networks, and vortices of energy into the expansive easeful world of the inner sea.

    • Continuing material from Awakened Body Immersion

    • Cellular Consciousness

    • Embryological Pathways

    • Fluid systems: intercellular fluid, blood, lymph, fascia, fat and cerebrospinal fluid

    • Fascial lines

    • Developmental Pathways

    • Kinespheres

    • Dimensionality planes of motion

    • Tantric philosophy, meditation, pranayama

  • A further dive into the dimensionality and subtlety of a Body-Mind Centering® based approach to research. Through 6 hours of pre-recorded content and 1-day online workshop, we will further dive into the landscape of bones, muscles, fascia, connective tissue, lungs, and diaphragms with Nina Wehnert (core staff of Moveus, the BMC® Certification Training Program)

  • In this live online weekend, you will experience the hallmarks of the practice of Embodied Flow: Using the heightened awareness of the body as the key instrument for knowing and understanding Self-energy. In waking up the conscious tissues of the body, listening and responding to their cues, and releasing their psychophysical blocks, we gain greater agency, fluidity, reciprocity, wisdom, resilience, and flow. As we inhabit our whole Self the promises of yoga: freedom, adaptability, and agency, manifest in their full capacity.

UPCOMING BODY MODULES

Module II: MIND - Discovering your Embodied Self

The Mind Module delves deeply into explorations of consciousness and the rich world of tantric meditation and somatic psychology and parts work. In endeavoring to bring awareness to all the psychological, physiological, spiritual, energetic, and social aspects of our inner and outer organization, we explore the direct experience of our many layers of consciousness.

We apply the dimensional body into movement practices to expand our edges, clarify boundaries, and illuminate aspects of our being that may be in shadow. “Mind” further endeavors to know the Self, the aim of the yogic tradition, and to facilitate in ourselves and others the clarity of a resourced body-mind in order to better act in the world.

The Mind Module consists of the following components
